Famika L. Carter, MBA
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Famika L. Carter brings both expertise and genuine care to Garnet Accounting Services LLC. Throughout her career, she’s been passionate about helping people and organizations gain the financial clarity they need to make confident, informed decisions.

Before launching Garnet Accounting Services in 2022, Famika spent many years serving in Louisiana State Government, where she oversaw fiscal operations, developed financial policies, and managed complex budgets. Those experiences strengthened her belief that good accounting isn’t just about numbers — it’s about people, purpose, and building trust through transparency and understanding.

Famika founded Garnet Accounting Services with a mission to make reliable, professional accounting support more accessible to everyone — from individuals and families to small businesses and nonprofits. She believes every client deserves personalized attention and clear financial guidance they can depend on.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University and A&M College, and she continues to expand her expertise with certifications.

When she’s not working with clients, Famika enjoys spending time with family, mentoring future professionals, and sharing her love of financial literacy with her community.
